CDG to 16th on May 1 - Hire Car Recommends?

Dear fellow travellers

Through a stroke of brilliant planning (er, lack thereof) we will be arriving at Charles deGaulle Airport on a Delta flight from Seattle the morning of May 1. Hmmm, major holiday, oops.

I'm thinking to just book a hire car or private vehicle (taxi? - maybe - will any be available - too much hassle on a holiday - lo o o ng waits?)
Any recommendations ? Specific car hire firms ?

Thanks in advance, we are staying in the 16th, near Radio France. And have basic bonjour French, a few phrases, at best.
Our 2nd trip to Paris, BTW.

Just take a taxi. They will be available. Cost will be 50€ for up to four people. Follow the signs for taxis and do not accept any offers before you get to the taxi line. You could write the address and 50€ on a piece of paper and hand that to the driver after saying bonjour. I was in Paris on May 1 last year and plenty of taxis were available.
