Cdg terminal 2G to rer train

Sorry if this has been discussed but only posting I found were pretty old.

Next month we will be arriving at cdg 2G on Air France from vienna after 10 days in Germany and Austria. We want get to the Rer B station. I assume we collect luggage downstairs in 2G, then it's a little fuzzy. I think we take the N2 shuttle bus to 2E and then meander to the train station or maybe then get on N1 to get a little closer to the train station. Is there really not something more like a tram to do this connection?
Also, is there any security/immigration since we are arriving after a week in Austria.
Thx...

The N1 shuttle bus does not serve terminal 2G.

From 2G, take the N2 shuttle bus to 2F, then follow the signs for Trains to Paris. The RER departs from the center of terminal 2, lowest level. The walk is not that far.

France and Austria are both Schengen countries. There is no passport control.

OK, after looking closer at the CDG terminal maps, I figured out my confusion.
Terminal 2E is actually 3 buildings/areas, 2 of which are between 2F and 2G. The N2 gets me from front in front of 2G to 2F which is right next to the RER station. I was thinking I would have to walk thru what is actually those 2E satellites which would be a pain.

Sorry, I know it makes no sense unless you are looking at the maps...
Thx for advice...
