CDG shared shuttles - again

Has anyone had RECENT, ACTUAL experience with Paris-Shuttle (29e) or SuperShuttle (27e) or any other less expensive shared services (under 35 euro/person) from/to CDG? The only way I can travel abroad is to save money wherever possible (except on meals of course!), so private transfers or taxis are too expensive for my budget - please don't suggest those. And the RER won't work for me this trip either. I know lots of people don't like or recommend the shared shuttles to/from CDG and Paris. But I've used a couple of different ones in the past and have been somewhat satisfied. Yes, they're often late but for return trips to CDG I always plan for that and ask them to arrive 1/2 hr to 1 hour before the time I'd actually like picked up (and being late happens with shuttles here in the US too).

As always, thanks for your continuing help.

If you are determined to be frugal Bus No. 350 runs from CDG to Gare de l'Est and Bus No. 351 from CDG to Place de la Nation . Price is 3 tickets available from the driver, about 5 euro.

Not THAT frugal. Too much luggage (multiple month stay) to use a bus, but thanks.

I have done Paris-Shuttle a few times. You go through customs, pick up your luggage, and find a payphone and call the number. They will then tell you which door to go to where they will pick you up. One time it took 10 min for it to get there and one time it took an hour.

Thanks for the info, Alexander. But how do I use a payphone when I can't understand the French instructions (written/verbal) for its use?

Holly, it's a toll-free number. You pick up the phone and dial. The customer service representative on the other line is bilingual enough to help you locate the door.
