CDG Passport Control/Airline Lounge Question

Hello,

We are scheduled to land at Paris CDG airport in a couple of weeks at 745 A.M (Delta, T2E). We will immediately head to Colmar for about a week via the TGV. The times for the TGV (SNCF) train are 859 A.M and 11:21 A.M. I will not take a chance on getting to the 859 A.M train, opting instead for the 11:21 train. My question is if it possible to get to an Air France Lounge upon arrival at CDG? I do have access privileges to those lounges but it has been a couple of years since I have flown into CDG and cannot verify if we would be allowed to stop at an Air France lounge upon deplaning or if we are forced to queue to Passport Control straight away? If we are forced to go through Passport Control immediately, I fear we will then enter the unsecured baggage claim area and not be able to access the lounges, as it appears all of the Air France lounges are plane-side. Is it possible to go through Passport Control without heading to Baggage Claim (i.e. as if we had a connecting European flight)? We will not check luggage, so the idea of having a couple of hours to relax in comfort in a lounge while waiting for our train is more appealing than waiting in the unsecured area of the airport or taking the longer RER. Any ideas on this are appreciated. Thanks.

Jay

It used to be possible to research such questions on the airport's official website, but it has been redesigned so often that now looks great but won't search for services such as flight lounges. I can't find their very useful maps any more, either. Your airline website probably will be more informative.

It’s not a lounge but if your ticket to Colmar is booked as an Air France plane-train ticket, those passengers have their own waiting room in the train station.

It’s been a few years since we used it, but Air France has an Arrivals Lounge that should work for you.

Thanks Nancy. I did not see this in the multiple sites I went to, however, I was able to confirm it is in 2c. Thanks.

You can always buy exchange your TGV ticket for the earlier train. You should be able to make the 8:59 train, I've never taken more than an hour from landing to TGV station at CDG.
