My husband and I are traveling to Paris in a few weeks and I see that there is significant disruption with the trains running to the airport. Does anyone know if this applies to trains running from CDG to Gare du Nord? The official website states Gare du Nord to CDG disruption but nothing about the opposite direction.

Try putting it into the RATP journey planner for the time and date you intend to travel. If it shows that it is running, it probably is, since the RATP owns the system.

When we were affected by this in April, the B was not functioning between CDG/Nord period -- either direction. Cannot speak to that being true for you on your dates, but so it was then. Absolutely take a taxi rather than deal with this.
The website that you linked to — the official site of the entity that runs Paris's airports — says twice on that very page that it is in both directions:
First, in the headline (“to and from”)
RER B line works to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport
(In the above sentence, “works” is a too-literal French translation -the sentence means construction on the RER B line to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.)
Then, in the secondary language with the specific example of the dates of June 18 and 19: (“in both directions”)
On 06/18/22 and 06/19/22, all day, modernization works on the northern axis will require the interruption of traffic in both directions between Aulnay-Sous-Bois and Aéroport CDG 2.
