CDG meet point

Any suggestions for a meeting point at CDG airport? We are meeting a friend who is arriving on a different flight from us and then we are going to transit into Paris together. It seems that Terminal 2 near the Tourist Information desk might make sense (and that would be close to the RER into Paris). But is there a place to sit and hang out while waiting for the other people?

There is plenty of seating in the train station. There are also plenty of people there so seats may not be available but that is a good spot to meet up if you are planning to take the RER to Paris. There also two or three sets of seats for 2 or three people in the hallway/corridor that you walk down to get to the trains from the arrival area at Terminal 2E. You could also plan to meet at the Mozza; it is a little pizza place. Of course, you would be expected to purchase something to eat. Is everyone arriving at the same terminal?

If you want to keep it simple, especially if you are jet-lagged and afraid of missing each other, you can just meet in baggage claim. We did that a few years ago - I arrived first, located my husband's flight info, and hung out by his carousel until he, then his suitcase, arrived. There were chairs. Not a good plan if flight arrivals are way different, of course.

As has often been suggested on this forum, the Sheraton Hotel lobby or bar, in Terminal 2, is a good place to sit, hang out and order a beverage while waiting to meet others.

We have been through CDG several times. It is a huge airport.
There are four terminals for #2, A, B, C and D.

We usually fly into one of the #2 terminals and out of another #2 There is usually a long walk in between.
Even meeting at the RER is not easy, the train is huge.

If your friend is going into the city, I suggest picking a location like a restaurant or hotel.

There is a Paul at the train station in CDG and I believe a Starbucks, unless something's changed in the last year or so. I'd meet at either.

That presumes you are both taking the same airline and will end up in the same secure baggage claim area. This is not at all a given.

CDG Terminal 2 does have several different sub-terminals (each of which is larger by itself than several other airports ) and Geovagriffith didn't even mention Terminal 2 E, which has sub-halls K, L,and M (you have to take a tram from L or M back to K, but at least all the passport immigration and baggage claims for Delta / Air France are all there in 2E K.

It might help to know which airlines are involved. Delta and Air France are 2E. United is Terminal 1. No idea what terminal for American.

Will you both have phones to be able to communicate especially if one flight experiences a delay.

I’d also have a Plan B in case you need to go in to Paris separately.
