I’m arriving CDG Teminal 2 this Thursday a.m. and have 3 hrs before catching a TGV to Bordeaux. After clearing passport control and collecting luggage, is there a comfortable location to rest before boarding the TGV? Are there any locations with a shower?
Which airline.; some have lounges with showers.
From scheduled air arrival until scheduled TGV departure is 3 hours?
If so, I would not be certain you will have a lot of time to kill.
Here is some info on the AF lounge--- https://www.airfrance.us/US/en/common/guidevoyageur/aeroport/salons-air-france.htm
Here is a good source of CdG info:

You might also find maps for the terminals at the official site, https://www.parisaeroport.fr/en/passengers/access/paris-charles-de-gaulle/terminals-map
This site has been redesigned on a regular basis and becomes harder to use each time.

also has a schematic map, maybe the same one.
The TGV station is in Terminal 2 but it's a sprawling place. I would find the TGV station first, then look for an adjacent lounge or hotel lobby to take refreshments, sitting down (which is important when waiting.) There's little to no seating in the station. You probably will find some shopping along the way. You also have lots of time to locate a ATM to withdraw euros.
It has been my experience that lounge access at CDG is limited to those holding outbound tickets.
Most of the airport hotels offer day rooms but with only 3 hours between your scheduled arrival and TGV departure, you will probably have a lot less time than you think; even if your flight is on time.
I checked all the lounges in the priority pass system and they are all departure lounges. Personally, I would make sure that I could find the correct track for my departing train and then look for a comfortable location from there. There will be places available to sit or eat.
You assume your flight will deboard at a gate, you'll be the first on line at passport control, your luggage will be the first off the carousel and you will have oodles of time before you board the TGV. I hope that's the case!!
But........don't depend on it. My flight arriving on a Tuesday a few weeks ago was NOT assigned a gate at T2; we deboarded to shuttles, had to wait for the very last person to board the shuttle and sit (that was I), and be driven to the terminal (10 minutes). That was at least an hour after the door of our aircraft even opened at the CDG parking lot. Then your line at passport control could be 20 minutes; it could be 1-2 hours. Last you wait for your luggage. Good luck having time to buy a café crème at CDG before your TVG departs let alone take a shower!
Thanks everyone. It looks like the only showers are airside, so we’ll make do and try to find a comfortable place to sit before the TGV departs.
I assume you will come into E gates from USA. But you may be out in K or L. Take the electric train to get to the main building. Everyone will be doing so. Before you leave home, look at a map of CDG. Many good ones online. That will help you feel more secure. After passport control and picking up luggage, just follow the overhead signs to the TGV station. If you need a cart for luggage, they are easy to find..just like in USA. When you get to the TGV station, there is an elevator down to where you buy your ticket and wait for the train. Prob too hard to use the escalator. Watch the electronic sign boards to see when your train is coming into the station. You can go down a level to where the trains come in and out and wait, but fewer places to sit. Be SURE to look at the board with the order the cars will be. Cars are numbered. If you have a first class ticket, you will be in the car for first class and you want to be standing close to where that car will be. Ask someone if you need help. Many speak English...or maybe you can speak some French. You can also go to the website and buy your ticket online from home. I have no idea when trains to Bordeaux leave but the website will give you the times and prices.
