How much time would be advised to catch a flight from CDG (terminal 1) to Dublin? Is the airport just as much of a nightmare for flights within Europe as it sounds like it is to depart to the US? I understand that we will go through Passport Control as part of non-Schengen travel. CDG's website recommends 90 minutes for Europe flights, or whatever your airline advises. We've seen nothing specific from Aer Lingus and would allow at least 2 hours anyway, but from anyone's personal experience, would we likely need even more than that? 3 hours? I just keep reading nightmare posts about departing CDG for the states, and not sure if the process is as slow for all flights/terminals being that we have never used this airport.
I took Air France from CDG to Dublin in July. I arrived a bit less than 2 hours ahead of departure time (more like 1 hour and 45 minutes ahead) and had plenty of time, which is my preference. There was no wait at passport control but I took the first flight of the day.
2 hours 30 minutes for max comfort. Sometimes the line goes fast sometime slow.
Thank you! That gives me a good frame of reference.
