I haven’t followed it that closely, but it seems to me that the big joke is that their intention was for it to be done in time for the 2024 Olympics, and if I remember correctly, that is not going to happen as they are way too far behind
Three years ago (when work started) it was announced that planned opening was 2025. COVID intervened, so opening is delayed to 2027.
They have concentrated work on Grand Paris Express, a project that will benefit millions of Parisians.
If they want to move airport traffic to public transport then a high ticket price defeats the purpose. Why not just take a cab if there are a couple of you?
The CDG ticket cost is already twice the 'maximum' RER ticket price.
