CDG depart Terminal 3 early a.m.

HI, We plan to stay at one of the Roissy-Pole CDG hotels (e.g. Novotel or Ibis Styles) and leave the hotel at about 5:30 am to catch an early morning flight out of Terminal 3. Most websites say to walk to T-3, but I am concerned about this outside walk when it is dark and we are unfamiliar with the area. Does the Novotel or Ibis Styles have dependable shuttles to Terminal 3? Should we instead stay near T-1 or T-2 and take the CDG-VAL to T-3? Merci for any advice!

It is a 5 minute walk from the Ibis to Terminal 3 by walkway that is covered most of the way with signs pointing the way, including a pedestrian underpass to get across the highway. You can look at it on google maps. The CDG-VAL is by the Ibis, so it will not get you any closer, in fact, it is further from the Terminal 3 than the Ibis.

And remember, how dark it is at 5.30am depends on the time of year - if you’re travelling in June, it will be getting light at that time.

It is a 2 minute walk from either of these hotels to the Roissypôle terminal, then a 2 to 3 minute walk to T3. There are no hotels at T1 and only the Sheraton is in T2, either location extends the distance to T3. The hotel to T3 distance is so short, that I doubt either hotel offers a van service to T3. There should normally be plenty of people around Roissypôle early in the morning as it is the first RER B stop from Paris with plenty of people, just like you, trying to make their flights.

Thank you for your replies! I finally saw on Google maps the foliage covered walkway that ends at the T-3 departure area. The sun will rise at 6:40am and for an intl flight we should be at T-3 at 6am, but I think we'll be pretty safe. Thanks again!
