CDG connection times

I'm looking at a Delta flight from Bilbao to Reno with a connection at CDG. They show 1:30 connection time is this do able? A good idea? I think I know the answer. What about 2 hours at AMS. TIA

If Delta is selling tickets with a 1+30 connect time, Delta thinks it is possible and Delta will know a lot more about connect times than will anyone on a public travel forum. Delta pays for and is responsible for any miss-connections. If you feel that 1+30 is not sufficient time, book flights with a longer connect time.

I try to avoid using US carriers for TATL flights, because they aren't subject to all the EU rules that protect airline passengers. But I understand that for people who live in smaller markets, using a European carrier might not be feasible.

Delta is however subject to the same rules as European carriers for flights back to the States (I got indemnified for one in line with EU rule 260 last year).

EU air passenger rights apply:
If your flight is within the EU and is operated either by an EU or a non-EU airline
If your flight arrives in the EU from outside the EU and is operated by an EU airline
If your flight departs from the EU to a non-EU country operated by an EU or a non-EU airline

I would choose the 2hr connection in AMS

Looks like you get to Reno on the same flight from Salt Lake City regardless, so I see no advantage to choosing the CDG connection.

Mea culpa, I was wrong! Thanks for correcting me.

I would not choose a 1:30 minute connection for CDG even if offered by an airline so is “legal”.

I have not done a Delta transit on departure.

I timed a Delta arrival transit a few years ago for some friends who had a 1:30 transit time. From the time I stepped off the plane (not counting taxiing time) at one for the remote stands at CDG, loaded onto the shuttle bus to the terminal walked from 2E to 2F, did security then Immigration it took 1h5m to get to my gate. I did not make a comfort stop on the way nor did I rum. I walked a steady pace.

Brad, we frequently fly Delta and have successfully negotiated such a transfer at CDG, but would advise that 2 hours would be a better idea.
Also, Amsterdam Schipol Airport is a better option if you can get that without paying more.
