CDG connection

What is the best (easiest and not-too-expensive) way for 3 people to get from CDG to the 6th?

It is about 32 Euro by train; it will be 55 by cab door to door (not tip required). The strike complicates things as the metro you need to get from the RER B to your destination may not be running. Only use the official taxi queue and make sure 55 is on the meter when you pull out -- no need to tip and no extra charges are valid.

Thanks! Quick and easy answer to a question I wouldn't have figured out on my own. Seriously helpful.

By the way, we're not traveling until May 2020, so hopefully the strike will be long over.

And the price for the taxi will have increased a bit by then.

The fares are scheduled to increase, when? I think they should because they are too low now but I have not heard of an increase.

I haven't heard — nor am I able to find — anything about a planned fare hike for the fixed taxi rates.

I consider RER an easy and affordable way to get into town. I prefer the RER because it isn't subject to traffic delays. The hardest part may be navigating the automated ticket machines. There is also a ticket window if you prefer (I've seen no line and really long lines at the window at different times).

The strike may affect things. I was in Paris when the RER, to CDG (but not to other locations), was running only about half the normal trains. If so, I'd use a taxi as my second choice.

One caveat is if you're carrying more luggage than you can easily hop on/off the train and/or walk through metro stations with. My travel bag is about half the size of Rick's convertible carry-on and weighs max 12 lbs. If you're loaded down, a taxi is the better option.
