CDG arriving Terminal 2B departing 2F self-connecting

We are arriving at Terminal 2B (JetBlue flight BOS-CDG) in April. We will then need to catch an AirFrance flight to Lyon in Terminal 2F. (We bought the CDG-LYS tickets later, after a change in plans, so they are not connecting flights unfortunately.) We are not checking any bags on the trip, just bringing carry-ons.

I have been given conflicting information about the procedure once we land at 2B. I have been told that if we have our AF boarding passes in hand, since we have no baggage to collect, we can follow the yellow "Transfer" signs to get to Terminal 2F. I have also been told that as "self-connecting passengers," we need to follow the "Baggage-Exit" signs and go through the customs line before re-entering through security to get to our departure gate, whether or not we have checked bags.

Obviously we would prefer to avoid waiting in lines as much as possible, especially since we only have a 2.5 hour connection time. Has anyone else been in this situation before? Were you able to follow the yellow signs? I saw that someone suggested that speaking with the JetBlue flight attendants before landing may be helpful?

I know that we can take the N1 shuttle bus from 2B to 2F. Any tips about that? Is it faster or slower than walking? Is it the same procedure whether you follow the Transfer signs or the Baggage-Exit signs?

Thanks for any guidance you can offer!
