CDG Airport to Rennes

We arrive at CDG on December 4. We want to go to Rennes, then rent a car for a trip to Mount St Michel, St Malo and Cancale. We want to stay at MSM for the night so we will take a bag for several days but we would like to stow the rest of our luggage at CDG airport. Do they have facilities where we can stow our extra luggage for a few days? What is the best/easiest way to get to Rennes by train? How much time show we allow once we land, to clear customs, get our luggage, etc before we schedule the train to Rennes?
TIA for any info that you can provide....Joe K

This is the baggage storage at CDG

You can take the train to Rennes from CDG or find your way to take it from Gare Monteparnasse in Paris, You can search the times here:
http://www.sncf.com

You can book it in advance or wait til you get there because who knows if your flight will arrive or not at CDG when it is scheduled to. It is gamble when you book transportation in advance but sometimes the price is too good to pass up.

Take Le Bus Direct Line 4 from CDG to Gare Montparnasse (they operate every 30mins), then a regular train service to Rennes.

Unless you are leaving for your next destination from CDG, do you really want to have to go to CDG to pick up your extra luggage when you are done in Normandy and Brittany? Information on the luggage storage at CDG can be found at bagagesdumonde.com. Their rates are at http://www.bagagesdumonde.com/en/left-luggage/offer. If you take the train from CDG, plan on leaving 3 hours after your scheduled ETA and if you plan on getting a train from Gare Montparnasse, plan on 4 hours. BTW, customs at CDG is nothing but lately I have been hearing of some ridiculous waits upon arrival to get through immigration. If you have to stop to stow luggage, I would add an hour for that. I usually buy my tickets way in advance and get non-refundable tickets take my chance with flight delays and losing my money but you have already missed the cheapest tickets so I suggest just getting flexible tickets that you can buy today for 80€ which is not that much more than the less flexible tickets and would be less than the cost of the less flexible ticket plus the change fee if you had to change your ticket. Of course, you can go to Gare Montparnasse if that schedule works for you but there are 3 direct trains to Rennes from CDG on your travel date so one of them may be convenient enough for you that it beats going into Paris just to catch a train.

I took the OuiGo train from CDG to Rennes and it only cost 10 euros! Be sure to book it 2-3 months ahead. It was so cheap that I wouldn't be out much money if my flight was late (which it wasn't). Sure beats the hassle of getting to Gare Montparnasse.

OP is traveling on December 4th so booking 2-3 months ahead of time will not work but is great advice for anyone reading this thread for planning purposes.
