Hi all - Im looking at two flights from BIQ Biarritz to BCN Barcelona early AM flights - that have either 1:10 or 4hr layover in CDG.
Is one hour for EU-internal flights fast enough? Are these AF and HOP flights in the same terminal and would there be any customs or passport check other than at checkin? Id hate to wait 4 hrs if 1 was enough and start my Tapas crawl early for lunch :)
thanks!
There is no passport control on this itinerary as it is a completely intra-Schengen itinerary, and there shouldn't be a security check either. Both flights should operate out of CDG 2F, although Air France also operates regional flights out of 2G (which requires a shuttle bus to 2F).
A bit of a side suggestion -- I'm not sure where you are starting your journey from, but have you considered flying directly from EAS (San Sebastián airport) to Barcelona? Despite the name of the airport, it's actually located in Hondarribia right on the Spanish-French border, and Vueling runs nonstop EAS-BCN flights usually twice a day. Of course, getting to EAS may be more trouble than it's worth, but just wanted to bring it up in case it's a feasible option!
Hi Andrew - thanks much... thats a great idea - I was thinking I could train over from BIQ 1.5hrs or so... if there is no issues with train crossings. I thought an extra day for amazing food in SanSeb. would be a great option... but I will check into it.
Looking at the Spanish travel registration it only asks if you come in via Flight or Ship... no train/car option. I assume I will still need the QR code thing?
Thanks -Tom
