What size suitcase may I bring through airport security in Paris? I am flying standby from CDG back to the States, so I do not want to check my bag ahead of time (I plan to gate-check once I am cleared for a seat on the plane). I realize my bag must otherwise comply with the liquids rule, etc.

If your bag is close to carry-on size it should fit through the security screening device. A Pullman size bag or other big bags may be a no-go.

Always check with your airline, and play by their rules.
It's terrible to see people trying to juggle things from one bag to another when they realize the airline won't accept the size.
