Because of a very early departure, I am looking for a moderately priced hotel near CDG for one night only. Thanks for your suggestions.
We have used the Novotel @ Chuckie D. It's only a short tram ride. Rooms are tiny, but functional for 1 night.
Note: there are three Novotels at CDG. I believe Bob is referring to the one at Terminal 3. The others are a short shuttle bus away, but the one he means is the most convenient.
Edit: again, there are several Ibis at the airport. The one everyone is talking about is again at Terminal 3.
You will find the Ibis at CDG is less expensive than Novotel.
We've stayed at the Ibis at CDG several times. Pretty basic room, but clean and very handy to the terminal. No shuttle needed - just the airport tram. I've always found it to be much cheaper than the Novotel, where we've also stayed.
Thanks so much. This is just the information I was hoping to receive.
We stayed in the Ibis budget Roissy CDG Paris Nord 2. It's about 20 minutes from the airport via the free shuttle and has a breakfast that starts at 5. Probably cheaper than the one right at the airport but of course less convenient. We stayed on arrival and departure and it was fine. Very small rooms but perfectly ok.
We liked the Ibis at the airport, good value, nothing fancy, easy connections to flights.
We have stayed at the Ibis in the past and will be there again. Rooms are nice but small and you cannot get closer to the tram to the terminals unless you sleep there.
