CDG 2E TO 2F

Hello,

I will be arriving to CDG 2E terminal at 6 am on Middle East Airlines coming from Beirut, Lebanon. I have another flight at 10 am from terminal 2F to Munich using Airfrance. I will be having carry on and luggage. So I need to get my luggage and go to 2F terminal. How much time is needed? And what will be the process and route? How will I send again my luggage on Airfrance?

Did you buy one ticket or two separate tickets?

If you bought one ticket your checked luggage will transfer automatically without your having to retrieve it.

If you bought two separate tickets you 'might' be able to get your luggage checked through. MEA and AirFrance are Skyteam members so they may tag your luggage all the way to Munich when you check in at Beirut. No guarantee they will do so Ask.

I purchased 2 tickets separately.
How much time is needed (after I get my luggage from 2E) to reach 2F? Will there be any passport control or what is the process?

Uhhhhh, yes. You'll be arriving from a non-Schengen country, and to the security teams for the arriving flight, you are arriving into France since you don't have a true connecting ticket. Depending on your nationality, they may require a visa for you to enter France; be sure to check requirements.

You will have to arrive in Paris as if you are terminating there — go through immigration, collect your baggage, and walk through customs.

Then you will follow the signs to Terminal 2F as if you are just arriving at the airport (it's as if you arrived at the airport by taxi from central Paris) and check yourself (and your bags) in for your next flight, and go through immigration and security to get airside for your Air France flight.

Yes. for sure I have a valid schengen visa. My question was if there will be again a passport control in terminal 2F so that I can expect the required timing.

Also allow time for screening of whatever hand luggage you will carry aboard the second flight. Line-ups can be lengthy.

To answer your question on passport control: Generally, you will not have to go through passport control again although at times, depending on national security concerns, I have seen passport checks for intra-Schengen flights.
