CDG 24 hour covid test for return to US

We are traveling to France in early May and know that France no longer requires negative tests for fully vaccinated ( 3 Moderna or Phizer shots for myself and my husband). At this time, US still requires negative test within 24 hours of departure. We will be traveling back to Paris and staying at hotel in CDG the night prior to our early departure for US. Does anyone know if there is a testing site located in CDG that gives results for rapid tests? Thanks!

Unless it changed recently I believe the requirement is no more than one day prior to your flight back. So that may give you a little more flexibility. Perhaps get tested in the morning before heading to the airport hotel?

Hi Suzanne,
Great question … I’m interested in the same thing.
We leave for France on March 14 for 2 weeks. One week in Paris , then we’re renting a car and driving to Bayeux for another 5 days to tour Normandy and the other WW2 sites as well as Mont St Michel. Very excited!

Prior to our return flight, we’re staying at the “Citizen M” hotel . Hope that’s a decent hotel.
Looking forward to any info others can provide about Citizen M and the Covid test location just prior to our USA return flight.

I would get tested ASAP. So you can test ANYTIME the day before your flight. It is one day before, not 24 hours before.

Thanks to all. Good to know that it is one day, not 24 hours before. We are traveling by train from Bordeaux directly to CDG so we could get tested in Bordeaux prior to the train. However, if anyone knows if there is a testing facility at CDG,that would be very helpful. I have seen that question before on the travel forum but have not seen an answer.

There are 3 pharmacies at CDG where you can obtain the required Antigen test for travel to the USA.

Test before the airport, so it's taken care of. And if issues, you can get a retest in time.

The requirement is a day before, not 24 hours before. So you can test early AM the day BEFORE your flight. If it is positive gives you a day to make sure it is not a false positive.

I'm on the Paris and Heart of France tour. Tour is over Monday May 2 after breakfast.
Sunday, May 1st, is a French National holiday and pharmacies are not open. And we are returning late Sunday afternoon from Giverny. I was going to home Monday. I don't think I want to try bringing a test from home. Where am I going to get a test in time? We are staying the last night May 1 at Mercure Sorbonne Paris. Thank you.

That is not entirely true, in France, at least one pharmacy will be open 24/7. The difficulty will be to find one open and which has Antigen testing available. If you want to try to get the test on 1 May, check here which is near your hotel:

Pharmacie de la Maternité

86 blvd de Port Royal

75005 PARIS
+331 43 54 04 85

You can also try at one of the 3 pharmacies at CDG but I might suggest you are at CDG near 06h00 when the pharmacies at terminal 2E and 2F open. The pharmacy at the Terminal 2A/C connector opens at 08h00.

I, too, stayed one night in the Citizen M at CDG. I loved it. It is a modern, "quirky" hotel. The lobby is essentially a large living room, with a bar, buffet for dinner. More like an open concept home. I stayed in a similar hotel at the airport in Milan a few years ago, as well.
