For those who have gone through the Paris catacombs: Does the audio guide begin as you go down the stairs, when you get to the bottom, or when you get past that first 10 minutes or so? I'm wondering if we get to learn about the geology as we go down.

There are signs before the stairs down mentioning the leucrutia(?) limestone. Down in the catacombs there is a place that shows the five layers. Sign explains it, but not the audio..There is no audio on the way down the stairs.
