Catacomb online ticket sales

Hi fellow travelers! I'm trying to purchase tickets for the Catacombs in Paris for June (which I know is one of the busier months). It is only allowing me to purchase the €27 tickets complete with the audio guide. I know that the regular tickets are €16. Does anyone know how I can purchase the regular priced tickets (without the audio guide) prior to arriving in Paris so that I am not stuck waiting three hours in line....?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I just purchased these for my March trip, and I dont believe there is an option to buy the 16 euro priced tickets, but in person at the time of entrance. If it's really important for you to see and not wait in line, spent the extra 11 euro for a timed ticket and get in on time (that's what we decided).

Good luck!

Hi Laurel, we visited the Catacombs in Sep 2016.

We did not purchase advance tickets but I thought it might be helpful to let you know what we did. We arrived at 9 a.m. (1 hour before opening) and there were already about 12 people ahead of us. By 10 a.m. the line stretched around the block. We estimated that there were at least 600 people waiting to get in. There was also a second (long) line that formed for people with pre-purchased tickets ($27 online).

Surprisingly, when the site opened at 10 a.m. both lines moved in an orderly manner. A person from the catacombs directed a few from the regular line, then a few from the pre-purchased line to enter. It took about 2 minutes for us to purchase tickets for $12 each. Based on our experience, it didn’t seem that there was much advantage to buying tickets in advance. Just plan to get there early!

It is a unique experience. Hope you enjoy your trip!
