Cassis, Gordes then Lake Annecy help!

Hello, we have our itinerary worked out to see Paris, then travel to Provence and finish in Lake Annecy with our three teenagers. They like active and outdoor activities best. My question is how would you divide your time between these three cities? Right now our itinerary looks like :

Cassis: 3 nights (arrive late afternoon day 1, beach/ hiking next day, Callanques 3rd day)

Gordes: 3 nights (explore gordes check in day 1, lavender fields and farmers market day 2, day 3 kayak down Isle de Sorge)

Lake Annecy 5 nights (day 1 check in explore talloires, day 2 bike around lake, day 3 boat tour, day 4 paragliding, day 5 leave open)

Hi!

I like your time allocation. I assume you'll have a car?
Regarding kayaking on the Sorgue: it is a COLD river, be warned.
Regarding hiking in the Calanques: bring all your drinking water with you and have sturdy, non-slick footwear. Sneakers don't really cut it; if you do not want to bring hiking shoes, trail running shoes would be the minimum.

Hiking around Cassis is very rocky. In addition to hiking boots, poles are needed. However, hiking to the top of Cap Canaille can be done in sports shoes without poles because the terrain is different.

So, Cassis and Gordes are your stops in Provence? Have you considered Pont du Gard and kayaking there? I thought Cassis was a waste and we are hikers.

yes we will have a car. so you would reccomend skipping Cassis? Should we consider St Tropez instead? I know our kids would enjoy a city with a beach, so maybe St Tropez, Gordes then onto Lake Annecy? TIA for help!!

Haven't been to St Tropez - Cassis would be worth a stop for a day if it were more on your way to Gordes. I wouldn't say it's much a beach more like a coast. Are you driving from Paris to Provence?

hey hey lorinpinch
when is this trip planned? where are you staying in annecy?
we spent 6 nights here and loved it during late sept/early october 2019. it was crowded and busy at different areas since so many want to see the same things. the lake is gorgeous with many things to do, city center old downtown with many restaurants, shops, galleries, narrow walkways along the canals, farmers market tues/fri/sun 7a-1p. it was fun to roam around, buy a few things to have in our apartment, have a fondue lunch at rotisserie du thiou 17 passage de I eveche. down a side alley near a canal, hole in the wall. sat outside table with a fixed prix fondue lunch with wine. was very good

sat outside, had calzones and pizza with rose wine. shared a table with germans, swiss and austrians.
did a private taxi tour around lake, stoppednear the castle in menthon st bernard. disney visited this castle and built snow white's castle after this place
stopped at col de la forclaz, a gorgeous setting with hang gliders soaring right above us and the lake, cows with cowbells on roaming the green pastures, has a small gift shop and some food for a rest stop
