Carpentras market

Lonely Planet suggests that the Friday market in Carpentras is one of the top one's in the region, but Rick doesn't mention it all in his book. Has anyone been to this market and can say if it is worthwhile? Is there bus or train service from Avignon? Thanks

I never got to the market when I was in that area but I heard from others that it was a good one. There is a train from Avignon to Carpentras (30 min) leaves hourly.
