We are spending one day in Carcassonne in La Cite, planning to arrive by car and depart by train. Car drop off at the train station is not available to me. Current plan is to arrive and drop car off at airport, transfer to La Cite, spend the day and eve in the city, and in the morning transfer to the rail station for departure.
Is this a reasonable approach? I would appreciate local knowledge on transfer options and time windows between the airport and La Cite, and between La Cite and the train station.
