Has anyone taken a car service from CDG Airport to Paris? Recommendations? Cost?
What about a taxi? Cost? Does the taxi accept credit cards? Is there a set fee to parts of the city?
How long of a ride to the city time wise?
Thanks.

Taxi = Depending on where you are going and the number of passengers is generally between 45 and 60 euros, but traffic or time of day can affect that.
Car Service = I have taken car services that cost 80 euros and car services that cost 200 euros. I don't recommend any. All were fine but the taxi was just as good for my purposed for less money. The car services were arranged for business trips.
Length of Ride = Depends on where you are going in Paris but generally about 45 minutes or less unless given that the airport is northeast of Paris, you are going to the southwestern parts of the city.
Car services from CDG are notoriously unreliable. Better to take a taxi. Just be sure to go to the nearest taxi rank - don't accept a ride from someone who approaches you. There will be additional charges if there are more than three people and for luggage placed in the trunk after the first piece. Also write yourhotel name and address on a piece of paper to show the driver.
I just used InterShuttle Prestige last week for transport from CDG to our accommodation to the Marais and highly recommend them. Our driver was waiting for us just outside customs. We paid the driver directly. I have booked them again for when we leave mid-May. This is a private car service.
In the US if the shuttle doesn't arrive, they will either send a shuttle or will tell you to get a cab and they will reimburse you -- and they do. In France if the car or shuttle doesn't arrive it will be 'we were there and you weren't' and they keep the money or as in the previous poster 'oh it is 6 pm, we can't send a car.' There is no depth -- if their driver doesn't show up for work they just don't bother to inform you or get you; if your plane is late too bad. Of course it works most of the time -- but there is a fair degree of unreliability. It is not a shuttle culture and not a customer service culture -- and it is a place with great public transport and reliable taxis.
So we either take the RER or a taxi depending on our location in Paris and how we feel on arrival.
I would never take a shuttle or private car TO the airport (nearly missed a plane to learn that lesson) and definitely don't pre-pay. If you have small kids you may need to book something like Shuttle inter in order to have car seats if you don't travel with one.
Do taxis from CDG to central Paris accept credit cards?
Some do, some don't -- make that clear at the start so you get assigned a cab that will if you need to use a credit card. We always arrive with a few hundred Euro -- or get some at an ATM at the airport before heading for the queue.
