Hi I am taking a train from Amsterdam to Perigueux on a Friday in June; staying in Vitrac 4 nights. Arrival in Perigueux is around 8:30 PM. Wondering what’s the best way to get to Vitrac at that hour? Not sure that a car rental place would be open at that time. I’ve set an alert with BlaBlaCar for a potential pick up in Perigueux. Would prefer to pick up the rental car tho!

This is what I found from the Avis Car Rental at Perigueux Rail Station, Perigueux, FR . "Hours of Operation for this location are:
Sun - Sat 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM Rental service may be available after hours.Call: (33) 05 33 09 65 49 for further details."

I am seeing trains arriving from Bordeaux in Perigueux at 7:56 PM and 8:54 PM. Which is it? If it is 7:56, you can get a train to Sarlat at 8:28 PM, with a change in Le Buisson, arriving at 10.01 PM. Taxi from there?
If going through Austerlitz station in Paris, arrivals in Perigeux at 8:00 PM and 9:37 PM

You could save 2-2.5 hours of train time by renting a car in Angouleme instead, and the drive would just be a little over 1 hour longer.
