I didn't realize that car rentals were closed on Sunday in France. We already have Ferry tickets from England on a Sunday. Does anyone know how we can get from the ferry in Ouistreham to our hotel in Bayeux? We can get our car the next morning when they open, but need to figure out how to get there on Sunday. Not really interested in the bus. Other options? Thank you!

Yes, we had a tight window to return our car in Lille on a Sunday last spring. Have you looked into car rental hours in Caen? It's likely since it is a bigger city, (lots more car options too) and they could possibly be open for a few hours in the afternoon, if that works with your ferry arrival time plus travel time. And it's closer to Ouistreham (15/20 min) so you could perhaps take a taxi to Caen? Anyway, just a thought.

Does the hotel have a suggestion?
Otherwise the alternative to the bus is a taxi. My guess is 100(+) euro

What time does your ferry arrive? I believe that there are rental car companies open in Caen until 1 PM on Sundays. Try checking the Sixt location at the Caen train station. As mentioned above, if you are arriving so that you cannot get to Caen by 1 PM, ask the hotel to arrange a transfer for you.
