Car rental to giverny and louviers

Hi. My friend and I are planning to drive from Paris to giverny then to louviers (bethel). What is the best metro stop close to a car rental place just outside of the Paris traffic? Also, how hard is it to get an automatic car? Thank you karen

I'm not sure what Metro station would fit your bill (from Paris, we've always rented in the center or CDG), but one option is Orly airport. That also makes it easier to get an automatic, since getting an automatic is generally easier in big city centers or airports. We've used the brokers AutoEurope and Kemwel, as well as going directly though Europcar's web site.

I have also used Orly airport for car rental (drop-off), as well as Versailles town. When you start your request/search online, you can specify that you want the automatic car and that will help narrow your choices. You should Google map the rental offices they offer before finalizing the booking. Google maps will show metro and train stations.
