I am confused! My wife and I want to rent a car while staying in Colmar during our 6 days there.
Auto Europe (Europcar - are they the same?) gives 2 locations for car pickup in Colmar. One
location is at the Colmar airport and the other is listed as 47 route de Strasburg. HOWEVER,
when I look up the locations using google maps, I can only see one location for the two sights
using the "yellow assistant." Can you please clarify this dilemma for us. Thank you.

Auto Europe is an agent as Jazz says. Sometimes they offer better deals than going directly through the rental companies. I usually compare before booking. I believe that Europcar is the only rental company in Colmar (there are other options in nearby Strasbourg). Try the Europcar website.
BTW, if you book with Auto Europe, you pay when you book. If you cancel, they refund you. In my experience, refunds come through in 2-3 business days.
AutoEurope will just obtain a car for you from some actual car rental company like Hertz, Avis, Sixt, Europcar, etc. One time we rented a minivan in Fussen and had it pick it up a gas station on the side of the road which also served as rental car facility for AutoEurope.
Yes, Call Autoeurope. They are great to work with. We had the same confusion in September 2015. What we THINK we remember: They are essentially the same, one very near the airport, the other, maybe, a counter in the terminal. I believe we went with the 47 Rte de S location, but please call and talk to the friendly folks at Autoreurope. We asked our B&B host how to take a bus to the airport to collect the car. She said it was very difficult and took us in her own car. Sadly, no longer in business. In either case you might consider a taxi. The rental itself was without problem. Good luck. I think Avis has a rental agency at the Colmar train station. If you check AutoEurope they show only Europcar, but I believe if you use their sister company Kemwel, they show Avis.
I am in the midst of booking a car for that region also, and one of the options I have considered is dropping the car we are picking up elsewhere in Colmar. It is Avis, and they indeed gave us the choice to drop it at the TGV station. Hope that helps.
