Car or Shuttle Servie From Paris Airport (CDG) to Rue Cler area

Has anyone had recent experience with a private car service or shared shuttle service you would recommend from CDG to the Rue Cler Area? Thanks. TC

Paris doesn't have a shuttle culture and shuttles there are much less reliable than they are in the US; if they don't show they will keep your money and it will have been your fault. Just walk outside the terminal and get in the official taxi Queue and take a taxi Parisien into town. For that destination expect to pay about 55 Euro for 3 people (4th and up in a taxi adds a slight per person charge and bags in the trunk are one Euro each) give or take 5 Euro or so. Tipping is not required or expected; we usually round up a Euro or two. Have your address written down including the district i.e. 75007 where you are going.

We have used www.interserviceprestige.com a number of times and have been very satisfied. They have always been there waiting for us when we arrived. One time they even waited for over an hour as I had given them the wrong flight number. We used them just last month to go to the Rue Cler area. Good luck.

In the US I have twice had shuttles not show. Once they immediately dispatched another to get me to the airport in time; in the other case, they told me to take a cab and they would pay for it and they did. This kind of customer service is simply not the norm in Europe. We had a shuttle get lost in Rome and only made our plane because I had booked crazy early and added an extra hour. In Paris I have heard of many people whose shuttles didn't show and who didn't answer the phone while they desperately tried to find a way to the airport. On arrival it is an inconvenience when the shuttle doesn't show; on the way to the airport it can be a disaster, so either arrange a taxi the night before or take the train. G7 has an English speaking line for pre-booking. If you do book a shuttle, choose one that doesn't require pre-payment.
