car drop in France

Hello all my wife and I have a trip planned and are " basing in Honfluer, Fr. from here we plan to visit the WWII beaches as well as Mont St. Michelle, Issue I am having is wether to return car to Le Harve, which we already have as our drop pt or to find something, if possible to return it to Bayeux and make this our base. It appears I would have to do more back and forth driving by staying in Honfluer. I am renting with Europa Car. We would then train into Paris. Thanks for any and all recommendations you have to offer. Len

Indeed, Honfleur is a bit too far east for your points of interest (D-Day beaches, Mont Saint Michel).
If you change your base to Bayeux, you can rent a car (and drop it off) in Caen, which has trains to Paris
If you still stay in Honfleur then move to Bayeux, you can still rent the car in Le Havre, then drop it off in Caen.
Car rental options in Bayeux are limited to Hertz I believe, and not close to the train station, so not convenient.

The only facility in Bayeux is, as said above, Hertz at a filling station some distance out of the centre of town. There are many more choices in Caen, a short drive away.

I'd agree that Honfleur is too far east to do what you want to with any ease.
