canoeing on the Loire to south of France Tour

On day six of the tour where do we put in and get out for the canoeing?

I took this tour last September. I did not go on the canoe ride, but those who did thoroughly enjoyed it. There were about 6 or 7 of us who chose the alternate activity. I think each guide chooses the alternate to offer. Ours was to tour the chateau home of Josephine Baker which was wonderful. The canoe trip started I believe in La Roque Gageac where we stop for a 'scatter' lunch.

lauriebeth,
I believe the OP was asking about the Loire River, not the Dordogne (which is a wonderful river to canoe or kayak on).

Judy,
I believe he/she is referring to the Rick Steves Tour entitled "Loire to the South of France."

So he/she is talking about the Dordogne. I can't answer his/her question because the canoeing was canceled on our tour because it was raining so hard.

Sorry, I didn't see a mention of the Dordogne River. There is more than one put-out point. We took our kayaks out at Vitrac and ended downriver a bit from Beynac. The outfitters took us back to our car at the starting point. It was a wonderful day!
