This company is in RS' Paris book and they offer off the beaten path canal tours. Can anyone give us the benefit of your experience with their tours? Thanks. TC
There was a long discussion of this topic on the forum a few months ago. Maybe you can search it out.
Here's one from January but I think there was another one also though I can't find it right now.

They offer a lot of different types of tours. Which ones are you interested in?
We took their Canal St-Martin tour and had a great time. But that's the beaten path.
I second the positive assessment of their Canal St-Martin tour. I found it to be a relaxing way to see some parts of Paris that I had never visited and enjoy some pretty scenery.
Bets, We were thinking of the St. Martin Canal trip. TC
As always with this frequent question, it is worth that at least a third of the St-Martin canal is in a tunnel, more intriguing than scenic. I was intrigued by the tunnels and the locks, imparting a much greater urban neighbourhood feel than the Seine cruises, but low dark spaces are not to everyone's liking.
Southam, the tunnel that you mention is under Place Bastille, and the way I remember it (and I've done it twice) it took only about 5 or 7 minutes from entrance to exit. I suppose if you don't like tunnels it could seem to take much longer.
Many thanks for the insight. Help from those who've "been there & done that" is always great. TC
