We are planning to take a night boat tour of the Siene (no dinner) and wondered we have to stay on the boat the entire time or can we get on a boat by the Eiffel tower and get off by Notre Dame rather then go all the way back?

the tours don't dock; they are round trips from whatever dock you choose -- by the Eiffel Tower, Pont Alma or Pont Neuf. The Battobus is HOHO but it only runs till 5 weekdays and 7 on weekends so not a way to see night lights.
