Hello. I will be in Marseille for one night and would like to take a boat tour of the Calanques. Is there any disadvantage to doing it form Marseille vs. trekking to Cassis first? I do realize that Cassis is a lovely town and I welcome any encouragement to visit on that basis. But I also have to be on a train from Marseille at 5:00PM or so. Any thoughts?

They look the same no matter where you start. You'd be really rushed going over to Cassis, starting there, returning there, then coming back to Marseille.
