Buying train tickets on Rail Europe

With the new covid world we live in, when are we allowed to purchase high speed train tickets from Lyon to Paris, as we are planning to travel there at the end of November 2021 through the first two weeks of December 2021? It seems no one knows for sure.

Thanks a ton!

SNCF usually releases the TGV tickets 4 months ahead. And it is usually a better option to buy the tickets from the company that actually runs the train. So ditch Rail Europe and use https://www.oui.sncf instead.

What badger said. Also, they often don't show all possible routes many months ahead of time. You can often find more accurate listing a month or so out from your travel.

Remember Rail Europe is not a train company. It is a travel agency selling train tickets to N Americans. There are usually some mark-up and delivery expenses so buy direct.

I usually purchase my train tickets from the rail site specific to the country. So SNCF, for France. Except, I've never been able to complete a transaction thru SNCF. For my France tickets, I used "Trainline" for one set and "Save a Train" for the other set of tickets. I believe there was a very small mark up, perhaps a couple euro. When I've checked, RailEurope has been priced a fair amount higher.
