I used to print tickets but gather document on Iphone suffices?
I highly recommend and have used https://www.trainline.eu Nice interface, works for TGV or the slower SNCF trains. You end up with an SNCF e-ticket.
The actual SNCF site is: https://www.sncf.com/sncv1/en/passengers
For TGV trains the official SNCF site is: https://www.sncf.com/sncv1/en/trains/tgv
My ticket purchased last year (2017) required printing the ticket on paper, which was a part of the instructions printed on the ticket.
I just bought tickets on trainline.eu this past weekend for a TGV down to Bayonne from Paris. The price is the same as SNCF and you get a QR code to show as your ticket on the train if you download their app. It was very easy to book.
As long as you're looking for trains outside of the scheduled strike days in April, May and June ... I believe those days don't show any availability yet.
I agree the trainline.eu is better ; I always have had trouble with credit cards using the sncf sites
Another vote for the Trainline website and app. No booking fees. Very easy to use.
