buying tickets on Eiffel Tower website

Hello. We'll be in Paris for only a few days in August and tried to buy tickets on the E.T. website. However, we got almost through it and a note on the site said that the tickets for the day we chose won't go on sale until Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. We're assuming that's Paris time, not EST. Can anyone confirm that please? We'd hate to get the time wrong and miss out.

Also, any other tips for seeing Paris in a few short days?
Thanks!

The tickets will go on sale 8:30am Paris time. You will want to be prepared and ready to purchase because tickets can sell out in minutes.

Hi, your info is correct. You'll need to get up at 2:30 a.m. eastern time. Tickets sell out quickly, often in less than 30 minutes! If this is your first time in Paris, you'll want to get a good guidebook (like Rick Steves Paris). Where are you staying?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did get up in time (just before 2:30 a.m. EST) to buy tickets - and I got them. It was very simple and we got the time we hoped for. Nothing was sold out - mostly because I jumped on at 2:31. :)

Well worth setting the alarm; would've been dreadfully disappointed if we missed out.

Also took a look at the entries under First Time in Paris; helpful, so thanks again for that!
