I hope buy a Passe Navigo at CDG to take RER/B to Les Halles and then use this card for the Metro and for Versailles.
Can I buy it at CDG Terminal 2? I learned I need a photo. Can I use an extra passport photo?

Buy your pass at a ticket window at the RER station. It's easier than buying from the machine, plus if you're polite and ask, they will help you assemble the pass once you pay for it. Yes, you need a photo. The size is smaller than a passport photo, but you can make a copy and trim it down. And the thing is a Navigo Decouverte. The Passe Navigo is for local residents.
the photo needs to be about 25/30 mm so you. would need to reduce the size of the passport photo or just crop and print any headshot you have.
