Buying Paris Lourve museum tickets online

Though this question has been asked in the forum by somebody else I didn't get the answer I was looking for. I want to buy the tickets to the Louvre in advance. Unfortunately FNAC doesn't allow printing at home for Louvre. (Have no time to wait for tickets to arrive in post).

1) Can I just walk to one of the FNAC outlets and buying tickets without having reserved for them in advance online ?.
2) Is there any price difference in reserving it online and buying it at FNAC store ?
3) Which is the store closest to CDG airport ?.

1) apparently yes.. but what a hassle.
2) not sure
3) None.. you have to go into Paris. Where in Paris are you going to be?

Its basically not a great idea. You can walk into the mall on Rue Du Rivoli , called the Carousel Mall. .it is underneath the Louvre. You buy ticket from the machine. No line.

Walk all the way in.. present ticket at security. Done. There may be a line at security.. it is unavoidable ticket or pass in hand.. everyone goes through it.. but the main entrance at the Pyramid will have the longest lines.. so mall entrance is best. I have used that entrance many times ,, in summer when its really reallly busy. As long as you don't get behind a bus tour or school group you will get in in about 10 minutes this way.

No going somewhere else. No paying more.

The dreaded lines at the Louvre are almost all at the Pyramid entrance security check. If you take the Carousel entrance, there's rarely any significant wait. You can also buy your tickets once you are inside the Louvre, there are many cashiers and machines, so very little wait time.

You can easily spend all day in the Louvre. Enjoy! But if you plan to see 4 museums in 2 days, then the Museum pass is worthwhile and is sold at any of the covered sites.

Having a Louvre ticket does not let you skip the security line, so it is a giant hassle for nothing. I have visited the louvre about 24 times; only once did I have a significant wait (about half an hour) to buy tickets. It was an unusually crowded day -- a school holiday, a Monday and pouring rain -- so lots of locals were there.
