I'm going to be in Paris over the New Year with 2 adults, 3 teenagers. We are looking at taking a 1 hour Seine River Cruise. The Bateaux Mouches website lets you buy tickets online. Can we just wait until we get there, or do we need to buy them now?

I have bought cruise tickets online for the Vedettes de Pont Neuf on the day before, at a discount. Just showed up with reservation number.
If you want to take it New Years Eve, I would recommend booking it ahead of time. Otherwise, no issue to just walk up & buy a ticket for the next boat. I love taking this cruise in the evening - such a beautiful city with all of the lights on the historic buildings & bridges!
It's kind of a toss-up -
If the weather on New Year's Eve doesn't cooperate - rain, snow, wind - you won't have a good time on the cruise, and you won't see much of anything.
I'd recommend seeing what the weather is like before you book.
Go early, stand in line to purchase tickets if the weather is nice.
Les Vedettes du Pont Neuf cruises are said to be better. I've never taken a Bateau Mouche. You can buy discounted "Vedettes" tickets on their website. The tickets are not refundable but they can be used for any hour, any day.
