Bus tour of Paris

Hello,
I will be in Paris for 3 full days with my family (daughter and 3 teenage grandchildren). I plan to purchase a 2 day hop on hop off bus tour which includes a 1-hour Seine cruise. I pretty much have our Day 1 sites mapped out and would like to end this first day by taking the cruise. However, I can't seem to find any information about the times of departure. I think we are supposed to board the boat only at Stop 1 which is the Eiffel Tower, so I can figure out where to find the departure location from there. Also, if the timing is right, we would like to get back to Stop 1 in time to reboard the bus so that we will have transportation back to the area where our apartment is located - which is in Pigalle. Does anyone know which stop on the bus tour this would be? Thank you ahead of time for whatever help you can give me. Linda

Linda,

There are several bug bus tours in Paris. Which one did you purchase?

I'm looking at the Big Bus Paris tour (red bus) - the deluxe package that is the 2-day tour with Seine cruise. Thank you, Linda

Please see my response to your other post "Our Apartment in Paris" about the HOHO buses. Thanks.

Ditto what Carolyn said above. This is what I posted on your other thread:

I’d recommend just one, full circuit, tour on the HOHO bus (don’t get off). My teenage son loved it, we’ve done many all over Europe and even here in SF b/c we both like them so much. Sitting up top, at the back is very enjoyable.
I agree it’s not good for transportation, and only enjoyable for a one-time, full circuit tour.
The mêtro is easy. My 11 yo figured it out, with no help, in minutes his first time there.
The busses are super easy too if you use Google Maps.
The mêtro and busses are the best way to get around imo.

I would not waste time on the HOHO buses; tedious, slow, lots of waiting. I would do a two hour Foxity tour and then get on with going places and doing things. You can sit on the top of the bus and get the overview of the city without waiting endlessly at stops.

I too would not use a HoHo bus to get between sights in Paris (or any other European city). Too infequent and too slow.
Yes, when you first arrive in a new city take a guided tour bus. This will show you what the places look like, how they fit together and get you orientated. A tour with one loop round the city with commentary (recorded or live), not a HoHo bus that keeps stopping to let passengers on and off.
Thereafter use the city public transport (métro, RER and buses in Paris) to get wher you want, faster, cheaper and more frequent.
