We are struggling with the bus system In Nice after having such great luck getting aroutdoor in Paris. Do any of you helpful people know what business we would take from Nice to St Paul de Vense?
I think you take the Line 400 bus. The route appears to run through Cagnes-sur-Mer.
This two-year old Rick Steves thread provides some details. (I haven't take the trip myself.)
Here is a link to the schedule for the bus from Nice to Saint Paul de Vence: http://www.lignesdazur.com/ftp/lignes_FR/400.pdf. The bus ride takes about an hour. If you want to find out about buses in the area, just go to lignesdazur.com.
It is the bus #400 and you can catch it at the marked bus stops along the Promenade des Anglais. Cost is 1,50€ and you can pay the driver. I believe the last bus from St Paul de Vence returning to Nice is around 7:00-7:30pm. It was a nice, sometimes scenic, bus ride and very easy to do.
We rode this bus in May or June 2014 and it was crowded both ways. I remember quite a few people waiting at the bus stop for the return trip.
