Bus 15 to Villefranche sur mer & Cap Ferrat

Hi

I would like to find out where is the stop that I should get on for taking Bus 15 to Villefranche-sur-mer & Cap Ferrat.
I'm staying at 35 rue Rossini.

I've emailed the tourism office but was given the info of taking the bus at rue Tonduti l'escarène. Has anyone taken the bus from that stop? How does the bus stop look like?

Also I found this timetable (Bus 15) https://ftp.lignesdazur.com/ligne_15.pdf (Lycée Masséna to Port de Saint-Jean). Hope this is the correct info.

Thank you.

You can also take the train from Nice Ville to Villefranche-sur-Mer. It's an easy downhill walk with lovely viewpoints. From Villefranche-sur-Mer, I took Bus 15 to Port de Saint-Jean, which was easy, using the map provided in the RS book. The train is faster than the bus if that is important to you. If you are determined to take Bus 15 from Nice, I would scout out the stop before you plan to take it, as Google Maps is sometimes wrong. Bus stops in Nice are often small signposts, not the covered benches that we are often used to.

Thank you @Bill

I think I read that if taking the bus takes the Basse Corniche route and you will get great views of the sea and the bay.

Of course it's always good to have a back up (train). Thank you for the reminder of checking out the bus location in advance.

I will make the trip either May 22 or 23.

Questions
1. By the way, can I ask about your Nice departure time and how long you spend at Villefranche-sur-Mer?
2. Also approx when you took bus 15 to Port de Saint-Jean? How long did spend at Cap Ferrat?

3. What time did you take bus 15 to return to Nice? Was it easy to get on the bus? Not too crowded?

Thank you.

You will be looking for the Lycee Massena stop, but it is not actually the one in front of the school but a block or so over on Rue Tonduti l'Escarene. They've moved this stop around due to the works going on. This bus does follow the lower road but it is a bit of a round about way to get there -- around the Cap de Nice -- it even does a loop through through Beaulieu-sur-Mer before heading down the peninsula. If you want to take the train, you can actually go to Beaulieu-sur-Mer first. The bus stop is very close to the station, below a bridge the tracks run over, as I recall, really a short distance.

The stop you want is Passable/Rothschild for the Villa, or go to the end for the small village. Other than the villa and the village, you can't see much in the Cap unless you take the coastal path around the entire peninsula. All the streets are mostly high hedges and gates.

@Gooster do you remember what store is around there? (Rue Tonduti l"Escarene)

Thank you for providing a general idae of the view situation. Much appreciated.
