Burgundy Wine Bike Tour Recommendations

Hi! I will be traveling to Dijon from Paris and was wondering is anyone has a good winery tour recommendation, preferably by bike. If no specific tour, any must see wineries around the area? I will only be there 2 1/2 days. Thank you!

The area bike rental shops will be a great place to ask. The one we used in Beune had quite a few self guided options.

Two summers ago my wife and I had a wonderful experience on a day-long bike tour with a company called Evasion in Beaune. I recommend them without hesitation. They take very small groups and our tour guide, who was born and raised in the area, was knowledgeable and entertaining. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful little restaurant and went through some of the most picturesque wine villages anywhere. The bikes were piled into a van and we were driven to the top of a lovely hill to start the tour so the riding was mostly (but not all) downhill. You can get more info on their web site.

Good luck and enjoy!

Biking for wine is probably better in Alsace. Burgundy strictly limits the amount of acres used as vineyards. While you see vineyards, they're interspersed with farms and forests - not vineyard after vineyard.

There is a bike route Rick recommends out of Beaune. I didn't try it, primarily because I was there in May (too early in the season) and places weren't open.

In Beaune we biked along the "service" road that runs between the vineyards. It was vineyard after vineyard. I have photos in front of many of them including Montrachet!

La Voie des Vignes is the name of the well marked route through the vineyards that goes from one famous wine town to another. There are many tasting opportunities along the way and the bike shop near the train station in Beaune will happily give you a route or hook you up with a group tour. Rick's guide book explains it all and is well worth having for the area.
