Going through the Burgundy section of Rick's France book, I saw little on the Burgundy canal. He mentions that you drive along it in one of his drives, but that's about it. Wondering whether anyone has been there and knows whether it's worth visiting. I know there are boat tours advertised.
The tow paths along the canals are not open to private cars. You can walk or jog along the paths. The Burgundy canal network is extensive, I assume any driving would be on road which just parallel portions of various canals.
Bonjour Jean! We strolled, jogged, biked, and took a boat excursion along the Burgndy canal in Marilyn-de-cahouet and Port de Pont-Royal. Those are three great ways to seethe canal and some beautiful countryside.
It was challenging to find day boat trips on the canal and we were happy to find the Elza https://www.burgundy-tourism.com/sit/bateau-croisiere-elza-sur-le-canal-de-bourgogne
