My husband and I are staying in St Remy for 6 nights at the end of May and would like to see one of the bull games (course Camargaise). I've read that the theater in Arles doesn't have them until July, but that there are other local games that begin earlier. If anyone has been, or has any information on these games, I'd be very grateful to hear about it. Thank you
I won't be able to give you any real help but some years ago we were staying in Isle Sur ls Sorgue in June. We wanted to go to a bull game. I had a phone number to call but no luck. I went to a TI and they called around for me and found a bull game that we attended. It was about the third week of June in a small town, almost all locals attending. We enjoyed it thoroughly. If you can find one by all means go. Gamers jumping almost into our laps. A lot of fun.
You want to see one where the bull lives happily ever after, I take it?

This link will take you to the Fédération Française de la Course Camarguaise, which shows a calendar of courses practically every day in May, including May 31 in St Remy. Have fun!
Thanks to all for your responses, especially to Barbra for the link to the calendar and to Boltface for describing the fun of the small setting. We'll plan May 31st in St Remy, but will check at the TI for the location. Can't wait!
Arènes in St Rémy
Here is a link to the Arènes Chomel - Coinon in St Rémy. It has a Google Maps connection that lets you take a tour of the arena. Glad that my link to the Fédération website helped!
