My husband and I are going to France for the first time in Sept. We are spending 3 days in Paris and thinking of 2 or 3 days in Brittany region. We are outdoorsy and enjoy biking and hiking etc.. Any recommendations on where to stay or see would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

We are ending our September 2019 trip to Belgium and France by spending a few days in Saint-Malo. La Maison des Armateurs seems like the best hotel choice for us.

I'd actually just add those days on to Paris if it's your first time. Then get the new book by Annabel Simms called Half an Hour from Paris and do one or two of her day trips which usually include a country walk to return to Paris from another train station.
Hopefully your 3 days in Paris is 4 nights and doesn't count your arrival day from the US?
I love Brittany and think it's very interesting but some locations are a bit harder to get to for just 2 days.
In my mind 2 days = 3 nights, 3 days = 4 nights.
Whatever you decide it will be exciting!
