British Airways - Seat Reservations?

I haven't seen this topic yet, so if someone knows of another thread, I would appreciate the info. I was looking into BA for flights from DFW to Paris on 9/30; as I progressed through the reservation process, I realized I was unable to view or reserve seats; the notification was I could book 24 hours prior to departure. What has your experience been with this process? Long flight, not sure I want to leave seats to chance, 24 hours prior.

Thank you,
Shelby

Russell - I usually fly BA to London and have had no issues selecting my seat 24 hours prior to depature. If you don't want to wait pay the fee. Safe travels

I had the same experience as Joel. I set a reminder on my phone for three months away, and thirty seconds after it opened I was signed on and choosing seats, with plenty of choices. We enjoyed flying British very much.

You can pay to reserve early. People with status on Oneworld airlines can reserve for free at any time or with only the lowest tier 7 days before travel.

Just hit online checkin as early as possible.

Russell: When you sign on to check in, you will have already been assigned seats. Then you can change seats if you like.
