We will be staying in the 5th ARR and would like to know a good brasserie to go to. I have read quite a bit about Bofinger
and how people have said it is declining in food and service.
any suggestions as well on a good Steak and Frit restaurant would be appreciated.

Take a look at Brasserie Lipp and Brasserie de Prés. Both are on the Left Bank and may be within walking distance depeniding on where in the 5th you are staying.

Try Le Coupe Chou on the rue Lanneau in the 5th. It’s not technically a brasserie, but it has continuous service as most brasseries do.
